from a wallflower to a botany babe.
I’ve always felt a different level of peace when I’m in the outside world of nature. It reminds me to look at the simplicity and beauty in life while living amidst a busy city. But, seasons change, and before I know it, the weather becomes colder again, especially here in Canada. Everything turns white and transforms into a wintery landscape. The blooming flowers aren’t around to inspire anymore, and the bouquets of flowers from the store only last so long in a vase until it’s time to let them go. That’s when I learned to pull my watercolours out in order to turn the memory of the flourishing flowers into a reality that hangs on my wall. Plus, plants in a frame don't need watering, do they? Maintenance-free, It’s almost too good to be true!
Not too long ago, this art I created was for my world... and my world only. You could say, my parents planted the seed for the love of art within me from a very young age. In later years, I drew when I had the opportunity, taking art courses in school because it became my passion! I branched out as far as I could within the limitations of each project in class. It gave me a chance to have a foundation on which to build my style and develop my skill set. Now, I’m excited to fly freely within my own realm, creativity, and particular subject matter.
I’m happy to be an entrepreneur through this shop of mine. It allows me to share my enthusiasm for the beauty in life and to express it artistically. My goal is to remind people that although the weather may be dull outside, there’s always beauty to look at inside.
